We were organized in March 1989 as a group of
thirty garden railway enthusiasts and now sustain an annual membership of
over 200 members. Due to concerns of liability, the club has elected to
incorporate. Officially we are now Puget Sound Garden Railway Society,
Incorporated. Corporate officers are noted on the Officers
page. Our club tends to be a loosely organized, laid
back group - which tends to meld in with garden railroading and the Pacific
Northwest. There is a tremendous breadth in our modeling interests and
approaches as represented by our involvement with multiple scales, varied
railroad themes, radio control, operating sessions, live steam, steam
boating, steam and electric modules, quilting and monthly breakfasts.
Leadership tends to flow from members who see a need and step up and help the
club. The appointed leaders function only to facilitate and coordinate
activities for the benefit of all members. As a club, our main purpose is to
meet, run trains and have fun! On the whole, we enjoy each other's company even
though our connection may only be trains. The will of the club has caused us
to host the 1997 West Coast Regional Meet of Garden Railway hobbyists and the
hobby's 17th National Garden Railway Convention in 2001. We encourage
innovation, creativity, and have a very high tolerance of whimsy. One of the
club's closely held tenets is: "It's your railroad, and your trains,
what you do there is your personal business." We think that our
collective and individual efforts demonstrate that we are a diverse and fun
group with our common bond being Garden Railway hobbyists. You can review our "activities and

find by selecting Timetable. The glue that binds
our club together is our PSGRS Newsletter. It's a periodical that reports on
what has happened and will happen in the club, informs members on club
matters, and provides information related to Garden Railroading. You can

If you would like to become a member of our club or renew a membership, you
can do that by selecting Callboard. Sometimes
you need to contact the Company Brass - a list of the club's appointed
leadership and company staff is available by selecting Officers.
To keep in touch with what others are doing in Garden Railroading, railroad
modeling in general, and related matters, select Interchanges
to view some of those folks' web sites and e-mail addresses. When there is
new information or directions to know about, you can find that "Hot
